The Long-Billed Hoopoe was chosen as the national bird of the State of Israel in May 2008 in conjunction with the country's 60th anniversary.
Длинноклювый удод был выбран в качестве национальной птицы Государства Израиль в мае 2008 года в связи с 60-летием страны.

В гнездах удодов обычно находится много фекалий, отвратительный запах которых отпугивает хищников.
Неаккуратненько получилось.
